The Green Mandate is an initiative of Universiti Putra Malaysia to contribute towards environmental awareness in reducing carbon footprints among industries and create more sustainable environment for our future. Echoing the spirit of ‘Go Green, Reduce Carbon Footprints, Business Sustainability’, UPM is promoting an environmental-friendly office atmosphere among industries in Malaysia.
From the analysis, The Green Mandate 2013 shows that the industries in Malaysia are indeed concern on the Green issues. Their green voices in propagating the green mandate should be spread to all industries in Malaysia. Our small contribution today would benefit and help Malaysia to actively embark the Green Technologies. Our target could be achieved with a great support from every walk of life and various stakeholders. Nurturing the green concept from young could produce a tree of wisdom to fully embrace the Green concept in our life.
We aim to continuously nurture the industries to work out their Green efforts by propagating this concept within their organization. Go Green for a Green Malaysia.
“And Man created the plastic bag and the tin and aluminum can and the cellophane wrapper and the paper plate, and this was good because Man could then take his automobile and buy all his food in one place and He could save that which was good to eat in the refrigerator and throw away that which had no further use. And soon the earth was covered with plastic bags and aluminum cans and paper plates and disposable bottles and there was nowhere to sit down or walk, and Man shook his head and cried: “Look at this God-awful mess.” ~Art Buchwald, 1970
